A.GSB-88 is a Gilsonite based asphalt sealant that is designed to penetrate and revitalize your pavement binder while proving a durable weather protecting topcoat.
Q.What Are The GSB-88 Benefits?
A.GSB-88 will preserve and protect your pavement, extending the service life of your asphalt and maintain a high surface PCI.
Q.How Is GSB-88 Applied?
A.To ensure even application, GSB-88 is applied thru a computerized asphalt spreader truck. Application rates are determined depending on the porosity of the pavement surface.
Q.Is GSB-88 Sanded?
Q.Although recommended by the manufacture, sanding is an option that adds a friction grit texture to the pavement. Sanding is not normally needed at a GA airport.
Q.What Is The Cure Time?
A.Typically GSB-88 is traffic ready in less than two hours after application.
Q.How Long Will It Last?
A.Depending on your traffic and climate GSB-88 will last for 4-7 years after application.
Q.Can I Re-Stripe over GSB?
A.Yes, you can re-stripe on top of GSB shortly after cure, however two coats of white paint are recommended with a few days lag time between.
